Engagement

Jen and Jeff’s engagement session in Downtown Calgary was so much fun! I have worked with Jen on a few business projects in the past and she always has incredible taste and attention to detail. I knew her engagement session would be no different.  When Jen sent me her mood board with her inspo for their engagement photos, I was so excited to bring her vision to life with all the city chic, fun vibes.

Modern Engagement Photos

Jen and Jeff wanted their photos to not only showcase their modern style with an editorial feel but also their love for each other. They live in downtown Calgary together, so it suited them to have their photos taken here. We started the session on a rooftop parkade where we popped champagne and had a toast overlooking the city skyline.

We started with a more formal and classy look for the first half of the session. Jen wore a satin off-the-shoulder ivory dress from Lulu’s which l paired perfectly with Jeff’s black suit. She also had her hair and makeup done by Studio Haven.

Downtown Calgary Photography

After a quick outfit change, we captured the second half of the session on Stephen Ave in downtown Calgary, making a stop at the iconic Hudson Bay arches. I love that she wore a veil with the second outfit.  You are only a bride for a short time in life, so embrace it and have fun with it! I couldn’t get enough of the vibes for this shoot and cannot wait for their wedding this summer at Teatro Ristorante.
