Chelsey and Jan have been together for eight years and got engaged this past summer on Vancouver Island. Some of their favorite things to do together are try out new restaurants and travel to new places! I can’t wait for their wedding this September at Venue 308!

Engagement sessions are a great way for us to get to know our couples, celebrate their love and capture some incredible photos before tying the knot. Chelsey and Jan had a unique vision for their session in Calgary, Alberta that I couldn’t wait to bring to fruition.

Unique Engagement Session In Calgary

Chelsey and Jan wanted anything but your typical couples’ session. As we were discussing ideas, Chelsey mentioned the idea of incorporating a vintage car. I immediately knew that we needed to make that happen!

I got right to researching where we could rent a vintage car. I ended up finding a 1957 Porsche that added a touch of elegance to the photos!

Golden Hour Photography

On the day of the shoot, everything came together so well. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the sunset in the background made for a stunning golden hour. Chelsey and Jan selected the perfect outfit choices to match the vibe of the session. Chelsey’s black strapless off-the-shoulder dress and Jan’s white button-up were a classic choice. We played around in and around the car and I am obsessed with how the photos turned out!
